“I am so glad I took the leap and gave Michael’s Foundation a chance! I encourage others to give it a try, even if you don’t think riding horses is for you. You can always join the events just for the sense of Community.”
- Equine Program Graduate
At our Host Farm in Clermont, FL, riding lessons for Veterans and their families are offered to up to 4 participants per class. We require a commitment of 12 lessons lasting approximately 12 weeks.
Once enrolled in the 12-week cycle, participants are assigned a day of choice and may take excused absences. However, we encourage participants to adhere to a weekly schedule to achieve the best results.
During each lesson, Veterans will learn about horse care, safety, grooming, tacking, and horseback riding. All that is needed to start are long pants and boots with a heel, as Michael's Foundation provides everything else.
Please note that while we welcome Veterans and their families, we do have a minimum age requirement of 12 years old for all participants.
Wednesday 5PM – 7PM
