Horsemanship for Women Veterans

November 3, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
horsemanship for women veterans

In this fun and interactive program, Veterans will learn key components of horsemanship and how to apply the attributes in their own lives, while connecting with other veterans and building community.  Join us in learning how to lead a horse through obstacle courses, proper horsemanship principles like grooming and safety.

Our Equine Director will provide a physically and emotionally secure learning space in an interactive and hands-on environment, while teaching horsemanship foundations, management, and movement to veteran members.

Members can expect:

  • Learn the foundation for how to keep yourself safe while in a horse’s environment
  • Gain confidence in yourself (and have fun doing it!) around and while caring for a horse
  • Build connections with other women Veterans
  • Learn how to lead a horse and take them through an obstacle course

RSVP required, this is a non-riding experience. No experience with a horse is necessary!
